In fact, in 2012, when planning their wedding, the only thing on the wedding registry was a request for donations to their corgi fund! Five months later, they adopted a corgi they named Danger from a friend-of-a-friend that was moving and couldn’t take his dog. When Danger suddenly passed two years later and the house was much too quiet, she began researching local corgi rescues. During that search she found QBSDR and like most corgi-obsessed people began stalking their pages trying to find a new stumper to love. In May 2015, they welcomed the sweetest, fluffiest tricolor girl, Bailey, into their hearts and home. A year later, after many road trips and shenanigans as an only dog, Bailey became a sisfur to a handsome, but troubled permanent foster brofur named Cookie Monster. Corgis landed on top of the list with their propensity for herding, intellect, and loyalty. Karen leapt at the opportunity to pup-sit her first corgi, ever, Mocha for almost a year. He taught Karen that 1) corgis are stubborn AF and 2) they are the goofiest doggos, ever. Fast-forward to Karen's roommates adopting their corgi, Danger, and his bigger-than-life personality. After Danger crossed the rainbow bridge, Karen's wonderful roommates went in search of a corgi rescue and landed on QBSDR. QBDSR's mission to specialize in special needs corgis is brought to life by its equally amazing founder, Susan. Under Susan's guidance, Karen fostered three corgi loaves: Savannah, Dixie, and Lucy. like minded teens, Mike’s obsession with corgis started with S1E2 of Cowboy Bebop. And like many at that age, concepts of animal welfare were beyond reach. 3 corgis, 15 years, and many lessons later, Mike now runs back office operations for Queen’s Best Stumpy Dog rescue. During his free time he enjoys food, gaming, and sleep (usually in that order). In fact, in 2012, when planning their wedding, the only thing on the wedding registry was a request for donations to their corgi fund! Five months later, they adopted a corgi they named Danger from a friend-of-a-friend that was moving and couldn’t take his dog. When Danger suddenly passed two years later and the house was much too quiet, she began researching local corgi rescues. During that search she found QBSDR and like most corgi-obsessed people began stalking their pages trying to find a new stumper to love. In May 2015, they welcomed the sweetest, fluffiest tricolor girl, Bailey, into their hearts and home. A year later, after many road trips and shenanigans as an only dog, Bailey became a sisfur to a handsome, but troubled permanent foster brofur named Cookie Monster. Corgis landed on top of the list with their propensity for herding, intellect, and loyalty. Karen leapt at the opportunity to pup-sit her first corgi, ever, Mocha for almost a year. He taught Karen that 1) corgis are stubborn AF and 2) they are the goofiest doggos, ever. Fast-forward to Karen's roommates adopting their corgi, Danger, and his bigger-than-life personality. After Danger crossed the rainbow bridge, Karen's wonderful roommates went in search of a corgi rescue and landed on QBSDR. QBDSR's mission to specialize in special needs corgis is brought to life by its equally amazing founder, Susan. Under Susan's guidance, Karen fostered three corgi loaves: Savannah, Dixie, and Lucy. Convinced that Karen was destined to be a perpetual foster-mom-for-life, Sam (pictured under her armpit--Sam's favorite "pet me, now" spot) taught Karen otherwise with his soul-scanning stare. Following Rotti’s inspirational story of dealing with IVDD, learning to use his wheels and powering through to be able to walk and run on his own again, Vu had to meet this incredible little warrior. That meet up was the beginning of Vu’s introduction to volunteering at QBSDR Ranch where the corgis welcomed him in to be part of the pack.
